Writing Task : Notes and Messages

These are some notes from exercise 7, 9 and 10.

1. Caller:  It's Frank Woods here. Can you please leave a note for Fred he he arrives? It is a bad news, I'm afraid. Tell him that job is off. They gave it to some firm in Blackburn. I'll call back later with the details, or he can ring me before 2.30.
Receiver: I’ll give him the message, Mr Woods.

2. A friend is supposed to arrive at your house at 4.30 p.m. It is now 4.50 and you have to get the post office before 5. You go out and leave a note on the door.

3. You are at work. A workmate's husband rings to say he'll meet his wife at 5.15 p.m. He doesn't say where, but he says to tell her not to be late. you leave a note for your workmate.

4. Think of some situation (at home, at work, at school) when you might need to write a note. Write those note now. Prepare and draft as much as you need to.

  1. In your last note, I think it's better if you write the name of who you write a note for. :)
